Frequently Asked Questions:

Which types of construction projects benefit from using Interior Protection?

Any type of renovation, retrofit, or reroofing project where products, property or people could be impacted by the spread of dust and debris caused by the construction activities.

How long has TuffWrap been installing Interior Protection?

TuffWrap Canada is a subsidiary of TuffWrap Installations who has been performing their services since 1999.

Where do you perform work?

TuffWrap Canada is located in the Ontario area with the ability to travel across Canada as needed.

How do I obtain a quote or proposal?

To better understand your project parameters, we will have a member of our sales team discuss the details with you over the phone. Then, we will establish a time for one of our Project Manager/Estimators to visit the site and conduct an estimate free of charge which will allow us to provide you with a complete written proposal. Contact us here to begin this process.

Will you have a dedicated point of contact during the project if there are questions or concerns?

Each project has an assigned Project Manager/Estimator who will do the initial estimate and be your point of contact throughout the installation and takedown.

Do you use subcontractors to perform your work?

No. Our installation team is 100% TuffWrap employees.

How long will it take to install the solution?

Each installation is custom and therefore dependent on many factors including the project size, installation difficulty, facility access and equipment required. A simple project can take a few days while a project with more complexities can take significantly longer.

What materials do you use?

Our containment material is an antistatic, antimicrobial, flame resistant and reinforced poly. We generally install it using our proprietary methodology.

How do you take down the containment without getting the captured dust and debris everywhere?

Takedown is a critical aspect of every project. Our installers are highly experienced in the art of removing the containment. During takedown, they work in teams to detach and fold up the containment, similar to how you would fold a flag.

Can you work with our operating schedule?

Yes we can. We are very familiar with challenges of a variety of facilities and will work with your schedule to be onsite only when it is appropriate for us to be doing work.

What size of jobs do you generally do?

Over the years, we have executed a wide range of work, from 500 sq ft to 1,000,000 sq ft. We have experience with jobs of all sizes and are happy to consult with you on your specific requirements.

What types of facilities do you work in?

Dust and debris containment fits the bill for all types of facilities – from retail spaces and warehouse/distribution centers to manufacturing and aerospace facilities. Interior Protection can be used on college and university campuses, in churches and other institutions.  View some of our parent company’s case studies here.

Will installing suspended cover impair my sprinkler system’s functionality?

No. TuffWrap Canada uses SmartSeam® as our suspended cover solution, which opens during a fire, allowing the sprinklers to function as designed.  Learn more about SmartSeam here.

Can you assist in containing silica dust?

While temporary walls cannot address workers’ direct contact with silica dust, using interior protection can help protect the remainder of the facility and its contents from being exposed to it.  Depending on the nature of the project, we can install strategically placed walls or total enclosures to aid in the overall safety of the project.
